       Characteristics
of the Rococo Revival style are the

        This
etagere or what-not has all of those characteristics. There are carved
roses and leaves in the cartouche at the top. The sides of the heart-shaped
cartouche meet at the top as a scroll.
Each long leg that holds the shelves up is a serpentine curve. Finials
top the two front legs. A drawer under the third shelf has its front carved
        to form an apron.
The gallery pieces (the vertical back) of each shelf are scroll-carved
        cartouches and tracery.
