RiverWeb: An Introduction to RW Partnerships

RiverWeb Partnerships

Implementing RiverWeb in part or whole poses numerous and substantial, technical, administrative and funding challenges. We are actively seeking partners and support from government, research, educational and industry.

Partnerships and collaborations are being pursued with:

* Regional museums and science centers in Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri

* Federal natural resource management agencies

* State agencies and organizations within the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources

* Schools and school districts in Illinois, Kansas and Nebraska

* Community-based watershed restoration programs in Illinois

* Environmental protection groups and organizations with special interests in river basin conservation

Funding for different components of the RiverWeb program are being or will soon be pursued among:

* Federal and state agencies. Proposals have been or are soon to be submitted to the National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

* Industry (possible in-kind contributions of technology)

* Private foundations
