An Orientation to RiverWeb
This CD is a production of the National Center for Supercomputing
Applications (NCSA), the Department of History at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Illinois State Museum.
In this preliminary version of a prototype web site and CD-ROM funded by
the National Endowement for the Humanities
"Teaching with Technology
Program," our goals are very modest.
Here, we seek only to give pre-packaged "glimpses" of the fuller,
dynamic Internet-based capabilities and content that we aim eventually to
implement in a fuller, richer, model RiverWeb learning resource, pending
major funding from NEH.
