Characteristics of the Rococo Revival style are the 


This etagere or what-not has all of those characteristics. There are carved roses and leaves in the cartouche at the top. The sides of the heart-shaped cartouche meet at the top as a scroll. Each long leg that holds the shelves up is a serpentine curve. Finials top the two front legs. A drawer under the third shelf has its front carved to form an apron. The gallery pieces (the vertical back) of each shelf are scroll-carved cartouches and tracery
