No Paleo-Indian skeletons are known from the Midwest. Too few Paleo-Indian skeletons are known from other parts of North America to offer any detailed comments on the health of the first Americans. Nevertheless, it is likely that their highly nomadic life-style in an often harsh glacial environment took its toll in accidents and a shortened life-span.
