Lampsilis cardium (Plain Pocketbook)
The interior of the plain pocketbook mussel shell has white or bluish-white nacre (occasionally pink or salmon with iridescence). The beak cavity is deep. Pseudocardinal teeth are relatively large, elevated in young specimens and worn smooth in older ones. Lateral teeth are straight to curved, striated, and of medium length.
