asymmetrically   a composition without an equal arrangement of forms or shapes on both sides of a central line or an equal arrangement of forms around a central point. The composition is balanced, but not with mirror-image forms.
atmosphere   the tone or mood of a work of art
illusion   false idea of reality
representational style   a realistic style of art, in which the artist makes objects appear much like they appear in nature
retrospective exhibit    an art show that features art work by one artist produced over a period of years
style   a combination of characteristics unique to an artist, a school of art, or a time period
subconscious   in a person's mind without the person being aware of it
surrealist   in an artistic style that tries to express what is going on within people's mind or subconscious; combining objects that seem unrelated into one picture to express subconscious ideas.
symmetrical   with equal arrangement of forms or shapes on both sides of a central line or an equal arrangement of forms around a central point. Example: the human face has bilateral symmetry. Example: a daisy flower has radial symmetry
