Volunteer in the Play Museum! Posted Wednesday, November 19, 2014

The Mary Ann MacLean Play Museum is an exciting hands-on area where children ages 3-10 can learn -- through play -- about art, people, and nature. Friendly, energetic volunteers are needed to greet and interact with families and groups and help keep the exhibit neat. Play Museum volunteers must be adults or teens 13 and up, and able to work 2 shifts a month. We have a special need for adults who can volunteer on weekday mornings or afternoons. Prospective volunteers must complete an application, a brief interview, and a group training session.

Our next group training session is: Saturday, December 6, 9 - 10:30 am. For an application or more information contact Beth Shea at

The volunteer must be able to read a map and find specific businesses and locations & have a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance. Gas, parking, and other expenses are not reimbursed. This task takes about 3 hours/month. Hours can be scheduled Monday – Saturday, morning or afternoon. Training provided. For more information or a volunteer application contact Beth Shea at

Crafty? Join the Super Saturday Team Posted Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Do you enjoy helping children with activities and crafts? Super Saturdays are held on the second Saturday of each month from 11 am - 3:00 pm. Late morning and afternoon shifts are available. Super Saturday volunteers must be adults, or youth ages 12 or older. This is a great way to start volunteering for service hours. If you are interested in becoming a Super Saturday volunteer and would like more information, please contact Beth Shea at
