Brown Bag Lecture: A Program of 19th-Century Parlor Music

The Springfield music ensemble Wild Columbine will be presenting a program of 19th-Century parlor music.

Wild Columbine consists of Megan Turner, Sally McDaniel-Smith, and William Furry, performing 19th-century parlor music, Civil War-era songs, and art songs on violin, flute, guitar, and concertina. The band will be joined by Sharon Graf and Erich Schroeder on violin and banjo.

This program is part of the ISM Brown Bag Lecture Series. On the third Wednesday of each month, a different speaker and topic will be featured at Noon. The program takes place at the ISM Research & Collections Center at 1011 E. Ash St.  in Springfield. Visitors are welcome to bring their own lunch. Free and open to the public.
