Brownbag Lectures: A Hoosier in Italy

  • Location: ISM Research & Collections Center, Springfield
  • Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2015, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Presented by Leah Street, Monticello Intern in Education, Illinois State Museum

Italy, an impressive country famous for its historic cities, fabulous food, beautiful countryside, and iconic culture is a place many people hope to visit. However, very few people have the opportunity to spend over three months living with a host family completely immersed in Italian culture. Come hear how all the cultural differences and observations helped this young educator grow as an individual, become a global citizen, and develop a love for Il bel paese (The Beautiful Country).

One of our Brownbag Lectures

Access to the building is from 10 ½ Street (between Ash and Laurel Streets), where there is ample visitor parking in the west parking lot. For more information, please call 217-785-0037. Brown Bag Lectures are free and open to the public.

Also, if you want to be informed of upcoming lectures by email, you can sign up for the brownbag announcement list
