Rolling Meadows Brewery
Rolling Meadows Brewery started when Caren Trudeau and Connie Regan discovered wild hops on the Trudeau family farm in Cantrall, IL. What began as an experiment in brewing has grown into an appreciation of good beer and a desire to create a fine product utilizing the abundance of natural resources on the farm. When Caren Trudeau and her son, Chris Trudeau established the brewery in 2011, they drew upon their combined experiences of home brewing, craftsmanship and design detail to create the Rolling Meadows brand. Prepare yourself to meet the “crew” and experience the autumn debut of a beer infused with Jeffries’ Orchard hybrid apples!

Satur-Play! for Grown-Ups
Kids aren’t the only ones who learn through play! Make your own slime, watch a pumpkin explode ooze, and create a fashionable set of earrings… all through the science of art and the art of science! Discover what you can learn through simple chemistry, make-and-takes, and a lot of fun!

Brooke Thomas and the Blue Suns
Brooke Thomas and the Blue Suns came together in 2009, released their first live CD in 2011, work on original music, and play an eclectic mix of musical genres including: blues, jazz, pop, funk, country, classic rock and any other genre that makes them feel really good. The music reflects a strong soul/blues influence and utilizes the groovy goodness of other genres by combining originals tunes with fun covers to reach everyone!

Cooper’s StrEATside Bistro Food Truck
Buy your food “strEATside” and enjoy it inside the museum! Justin Cooper is a food lover at heart with over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Justin’s passion for food started at a young age while helping his dad plant beans and corn on their 7th generation family farm, and hanging out in his mom’s kitchen, helping her cook traditional family meals. Justin’s passion for food has led him to explore new creations. He enjoys sharing these creations with you via food truck! His background has inspired him to serve local and fresh food whenever possible – including his cousin’s local beef.

Illinois Stewardship Alliance
Illinois Stewardship Alliance will offer an interactive mapping activity where attendees will create a map of food miles for commonly consumed foods highlighting the environmental impact of our food and agriculture system. Additionally they will have a seasonal apple tasting with a number of varieties grown in central Illinois. Attendees will be invited to test their taste buds to see if they can find the non-local apple! Illinois Stewardship Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting local food and sustainable agriculture. Based in Springfield, the organization runs the Buy Fresh Buy Local Central Illinois campaign and the Local Flavors program.

Illinois Artisan Hugh Bridgeford
High Bridgeford creates unique handmade moonshine jugs and whiskey flasks inspired by traditional stoneware, with his own Pop Art decoration. Following in the tradition of art potters like George Ohr and Illinois' Cornwall brothers, his pottery commemorates special events and makes social commentary. Find him in the Museum Store!

Sketches, Journals, Preparations. . . EVERYTHING IN PLACE
Experience the creative process, long before brush comes to canvas. Our latest art exhibition, curated by Jennifer Jaskowiak, focuses on the preparatory materials kept “at hand” that both inspire and document the creative process. Rarely seen outside of the studio or field, these preparations record all stages of the creative process, from the spark of an idea through the proposal of a final project. Likewise, they offer a glimpse of what is happening in the personal life of the maker, their insights and responses to the world around them. The exhibition includes the work of 30 artists and can be found on the second floor of the museum.

POUR Bar
Shake, rattle, & POUR! Pour Bar Services provides expert bartending services for special events in Central Illinois as well as the Governor’s Ballroom. Relax and enjoy a craft brew from Rolling Meadows – or any drink of your choice from this fully catered bar. Some of the best bartenders in our area are at your service!
