Satur-Play! Cloud in a Bottle

  • Location: Illinois State Museum, Springfield, Springfield
  • Date: Saturday, September 27, 2014, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Every Saturday is Super!
Experience Satur-Play! at the Illinois State Museum. Be drawn in by fun science experiments and art projects so entertaining and intriguing, you may forget you are learning! Recommended for the whole family and suggested for ages 3-10.

September Activities:

September 6 | Soap Soufflé  Microwave Ivory soap to see this stuff turn into fluff!

September 13 | Route 66 Racetrack  Follow our racetrack with mini cars and sand paper! See how traction makes a difference in speed.

September 20 | Leaf "Salad" Art  Using a little paint, a salad spinner, and some fall leaves, we'll spin up some amazing autumn art.

September 27 | Cloud in a Bottle  We all know what clouds look like, but, have you ever seen one in a bottle?

Satur-Play! is an engaging hands-on enhancement program for the Mary Ann MacLean Play Museum at the Illinois State Museum. This exciting new program features science and art activities that children and families can participate in while visiting the Play Museum. A different theme and activity will be offered each week on Saturday from 11am to 3pm. Registration is not required. Free and open to the public. For more information, call the Education Section at (217) 782-5955.
