  Satur-Play! Foam Planes

Satur-Play! Foam Planes

  • Location: Illinois State Museum, Springfield, Springfield
  • Date: Saturday, August 02, 2014, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Every Saturday is Super!
Experience Satur-Play! at the Illinois State Museum. Be drawn in by fun science experiments and art projects so entertaining and intriguing, you may forget you are learning! When there isn’t a Super Saturday (2nd Saturday of each month), expect a Satur-Play! activity from 11am-3pm in the Play Museum. Recommended for the whole family and suggested for ages 3-10.

August Activities:

August 2 | Foam Planes   Make a plane that flies! All it takes is some duct tape and your imagination!

August 16 | Make Slime!  It's ooey, gooey and all things sticky!

August 23 | Paper Quilts  Learn traditional quilting designs without sewing!

August 30 | Water Filters  Ever wondered how our water gets cleaned. Try your own hand at filtering water.

Satur-Play! is an engaging hands-on enhancement program for the Mary Ann MacLean Play Museum at the Illinois State Museum. This exciting new program features science and art activities that children and families can participate in while visiting the Play Museum. A different theme and activity will be offered each week on Saturday with the exception of Super Saturdays. Registration is not required. For more information, call the Education Section at (217) 782-5955.
