  Recycled Play Day!

Recycled Play Day!

  • Location: Illinois State Museum, Springfield, Springfield
  • Date: Saturday, April 19, 2014, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The Illinois State Museum invites you to come and play on Saturday, April 19 from 1:00 to 3:00PM in honor of Earth Day. During this fun-for-all-ages event, children and adults will work together to construct and decorate a giant playhouse made of re-purposed cardboard and recycled materials. The playhouse will be available for play through Friday, April 25th. Recommended for families with children ages 3-10.

Earth Day is April 22. By offering Recycled Play Day the Museum hopes to remind families that recycling and repurposing materials doesn’t have to be a chore, and that fun doesn’t always have to involve a trip to the toy store. Transforming everyday objects into fun experiences for the whole family can be easy and exciting. Free and open to the public. For additional information contact Elizabeth Bazan at ebazan@museum.state.il.us or (217) 782-5993.
