Hickory Ridge Concert Series: Lil Rev Returns to the Hickory Ridge

Ukulele Master Lil Rev will take the stage at the Hickory Ridge Concert Series on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Dickson Mounds Museum. Rev is an award winning master of the harmonica and the ukulele and a witty, engaging performer who is rapidly gaining national attention for entertaining and informative performances.

Lil Rev’s shows are fast paced and fun, covering a wide range of styles from Stephen Foster songs to Delta Holler Blues to the music of Tin Pan Alley. He was Hohner's 1996 National Blues Harmonica Champion and was inducted into The Traditional Old-Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003. He has been described as “an immensely talented and entertaining performer (whose) concise, eloquent and witty introductions add to the fun! This man knows music, instruments, history, cultures, and most of all, how to engage and captivate an audience."

This will be the last performance at the Dickson Mounds Museum for the foreseeable future due to the Governor’s unprecedented closure of the Illinois State Museum system in the midst of a budget crisis. It is our hope that the situation will be resolved in the near future, but in the meantime, following concerts will be held at the Lewistown Visitor’s Center at 222 S Main St, Lewistown, IL 61542.
