  • Location: ISM Dickson Mounds Museum, Lewistown
  • Date: Saturday, May 16, 2015, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The Hickory Ridge Concert Series welcomes the Hickory Grove Bluegrass Band to our stage on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 7:00 pm. Hickory Grove is a new, local bluegrass and gospel group from Central Illinois featuring not only the traditional bluegrass instrumentation of Guitar, Banjo bass and fiddle, but also an accordion.

The group has been performing for the past several years in regional nursing homes and churches and entertains at clubs/groups/bistros and is the host band for Lloyd Loar's Hometown Bluegrass Festival, Lewistown, IL. The band features Steve Hatfield on banjo, Carol Jean Trulson on mandolin, Art Jones on rhythm guitar, Gary Jaeckle on accordion, and Bonnie Jaeckle on bass. They’ll quickly have you clapping your hands, tapping your toes and singing right along.

The Dickson Mounds Branch of the Illinois State Museum is located between Lewistown and Havana off routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.
