Hickory Ridge Concert Series: The Sweet Potatoes

  • Location: ISM Dickson Mounds Museum, Lewistown
  • Date: Saturday, July 18, 2015, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The Hickory Ridge Concert Series welcomes The Sweet Potatoes to our stage on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 7:00 pm. The group includes Kelly Macleod – songwriter/vocals/guitar; Laura Hall – songwriter/guitar/vocals/ukulele/accordion; Rick Hall – bass/harmonica/vocals.

The Sweet Potatoes come out of Southern California to dish up their own unique blend of country, folk and homespun Americana. Featuring acoustic guitars, ukulele, accordion and harmonica, this trio will bring a smile to your face with their sweet harmonies and finely crafted songwriting. Laura and Kelly write original music rooted in the family ties that made them the women they are today; songs about finding and appreciating love, having faith, family and home. Their writing is influenced by strong female singer/songwriters such as Emmylou Harris, Patti Griffin and Linda Ronstadt. Their music has a back porch charm, relaxed as an old easy chair.
