  • Date: Thursday, February 19, 2015, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

CALL FOR ABSTRACT TO EMIQUON SCIENCE 2015: DUE FEBRUARY 4, 2015

The annual Emiquon Science Conference will be held at Dickson Mounds Museum in Lewistown, Illinois February 19th 2015 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.). This year’s conference title is: Emiquon Science 2015: River Floodplain Restoration and Connection. Of particular interest in this year’s conference is the topic of ecosystem services in floodplain restoration.

We invite poster presentations about river floodplains, natural resource connectivity to river systems, aquatic ecology, and restoration issues in general. The conference will feature oral and poster presentations, and a panel discussion about the controlled connection of Emiquon to the Illinois River. Together we will explore the larger question of ecosystem services in floodplain research. We look forward to seeing you at Emiquon Science 2015. Registration is required to accommodate all participants in the Museum's auditorium. The $10 registration fee covers lunch and refreshments.
