Bird Watching at Emiquon

Dickson Mounds Museum is hosting its first Nature Trek program of the 2015 season. Join Museum staff and representatives from The Nature Conservancy for a bird watching opportunity at the Wetland Observatory at the Emiquon Preserve on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. Novice and seasoned birders are welcomed. This is also a good opportunity to photograph or sketch wildlife in the area. Binoculars and bird identification books will be available for visitor use. Light refreshments will be served.

The program is free and registration is not required. Participants should dress appropriately for the outdoors.

The Illinois State Museum - Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.
