Kid's Day: Wild about Animals in Illinois

Dickson Mounds Museum is hosting a Kid’s Day: Wild About Animals in Illinois on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Kids ages 5 and up with an adult will learn about native Illinois animals through tracks, fur, bones, and scat. Kids may also enjoy hands-on crafts to take home. As part of the afternoon’s activities, the Peoria Park District ZooMobile will present a program featuring live animals at 2:00 p.m. in the Museum’s auditorium. Tickets for the show are free and available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 12:00 p.m. the day of the event. Seating is limited.

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Registration is not required.

The Illinois State Museum - Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.
