Canton, IL native Nathan Taylor will make his Hickory Ridge Concert Series debut on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dickson Mounds Museum in Lewistown, IL. A local favorite, Nathan combines early folk, blues country and jazz in a delightful cacophony of Americana Music bound to make you want to tap your toes and join in.
His guitar style is steeped in tradition yet has a new, modern edge to it. Drawing from the sounds and repertoire of artists like Robert Johnson and Mississippi John Hurt, Nathan’s performance will take you back to a time when music was made of inspiration, hard work, heartache, and celebration. A gifted songwriter as well, Nathan will perform a combination of traditional material and original songs from his recently released first solo CD, The Slow Ride Home.
