Dickson Mounds Museum is hosting Nature Adventure, a summer camp experience, for kids ages 10 - 12 years old on Tuesday - Thursday, June 17-19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Participants will explore the Illinois River Valley and may enjoy hiking, archery, learning about fish population management, and canoeing.
Registration is required with a deadline of June 4, 2014. Space is limited. The fee is $30 for Illinois State Museum Society members and $40 for non-members. Activities will be held indoors and outdoors in hot, humid conditions. Participants are required to provide their own sack lunch and snacks. Call the Museum at 309-547-3721 to register.
The Illinois State Museum - Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.
