A Taste of Archaeology for Adults

  • Location: ISM Dickson Mounds Museum, Lewistown
  • Date: Tuesday, June 25, 2013 through Thursday, June 27, 2013 , 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Ever dreamed of a career as an Archaeologist? Do you consider yourself an amateur Archaeologist? Work alongside archaeologists and gain insight into this profession. Participate in an excavation and learn how to identify, clean, organize, and sort artifacts. Registration is required with a deadline of June 10, 2013 and the program has a maximum of 10 participants. Activities will be held indoors and outdoors in hot, humid, dusty conditions. Participants are required to provide their own sack lunch and snacks. Teachers may earn certified professional development units for participation in this workshop. Call the Museum at 309-547-3721 to register. Program will be held Tuesday, June 25 - Thursday, June 27 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fee: $50 for ISMS members; $60 for non-members. Age: Adults, 18 years old +
