At 4 P.M., Granite Amit will discuss her installation in the Pathways and Portals: Art, Nature and Science exhibition. Amit' s installation On The River Already refers to an ancient ecstatic meditation, a mystical journey in which one elevates the self through a process of overcoming internal and external obstacles. The journey is conditioned on the ability to overcome difficulties and struggles that are presented at the gateway (or portal) of each chamber. The images, video projection and sound are brought together in a theatrical setting with a choir-like narrative.
Most exhibition artists will be present at the 5 P.M. closing reception for the exhibition.
