I have a (painting, fossil, arrowhead, or other object) and was wondering if you could identify it?

Possibly. If you can, feel free to send a jpeg image by email to webmaster@museum.state.il.us with a short description of the item. Our webmaster will forward the question to the appropriate staff person. Please make sure that you have a correct return email address. Also, try to make sure that the image is relatively small, under 120 Kb if possible. Large attachments may be refused by our email server, with no notification to you or us.

I have a (painting, fossil, arrowhead, or other object) and was wondering if you could tell me what it is worth?

Generally, the Illinois State Museum curators cannot give information on the monetary value of objects.
