The Illinois Artisans Program focuses national attention on the rich heritage of the fine crafting that exists in Illinois. Our juried artists participate in art sprees, craft festivals, exhibitions and other events held at our locations in order to promote their work. The Southern Illinois Artisans Center is a site of the Illinois State Museum. The work of over 850 Illinois Artisans is on view and for sale. This Center is also a venue for workshops, artisans demonstrations and seasonal festivals. One of the three locations of the Illinois Artisans Program. The Center houses the largest shop, where visitors find the best in Illinois artisan crafts, workshops, and demonstrations. Closing Southern Illinois Artisans Shop: June 30, 2015 (end of fiscal year)
