House Spider (Achaearanea tepidariorum
Description: The common house spider is found worldwide. The carapace is usually yellow or brown. The abdomen is gray with lighter and darker markings. The legs are striped. Males are smaller (4mm) than females (5-8mm). This image shows the female's egg sac.
Habitat: House spiders live, as you might expect, in tangled webs in the corners of buildings, fences, doorways, eaves, and other semi-sheltered spots.
