Charles Daly 2009 Double Barrel Shotgun

Charles Daly was the house brand of Schoverling, Daly, and Gales of New York. The Charles Daly shotgun was made in Europe by various German firms. The 2009 serial number on this one indicates it was made in Prussia by Charles Lindner.
The stock is burled walnut. The barrels are marked Damascus steel. The plated steel is engraved with geometric, floral, and scrolled-leaf motifs. This gun would have been expensive and was probably used by a sport hunter of means.
