Clyde Bell: Selling ducks commerciallyClyde Bell-selling duck's commercially
Interviewer: Did sell the ducks commercially that you shot when you were younger?
Clyde: 0h I guess I sold ducks by the hundreds.
Interviewer: Who would you be selling to, people in town or. . .
Clyde: Mostly Egan's(?) lot in St. Louis and Capon's gang in Chicago.
Interviewer: (laughs) How much would you get for a duck.
Clyde: Well we used to when we first started out selling ducks, three for a dollar. Thirty-three and 1/3 cent per mallard, 20 cents apiece for teal, but then they got up to where we got 75 cents. Transcription last modified 01/22/10 4:17:55 PM
