Pathways and Portals: Art, Nature and Science
Artists act as shamen and visionaries for culture and show us different paths for perceiving, exploring and understanding the world/universe through art. The Illinois artists in this exhibition use mythology, science, religion, nature and art as portals to other realms of consciousness. Artists include: Granite Amit, Artn with Donna Cox and Ellen Sandor, AnnMarie Cernoch, Michele Corazzo, Shawn Decker, Indira Johnson, James Mesple, Kelly Quinn, Dusty Seno, Gene Skala, Michelle Stone, Joan Truckenbrod, and Robert Wapahi. This exhibition is curated by Jane Stevens, Associate Curator, Illinois State Museum Chicago Gallery. Special events and programs will accompany the exhibit (dates to be announced).
