Hickory Ridge Concert Series: Mark Dvorak

 The Hickory Ridge Concert Series welcomes Midwest troubadour Mark Dvorak for in a very special appearance at the Dickson Mounds Auditorium, on Saturday, July 16, 7:30 pm.
Over the last two decades, Dvorak has forged a reputation as an uncompromising road warrior, traveling to thirty-six states and to Europe with only his songs, stories, guitar and banjo. The Hickory Ridge concert is part of a series of CD release shows scheduled for Dvorak. His new disc on the Waterbug label, Time Ain’t Got Nothin’ On Me, has been receiving rave reviews and airplay nationwide. Dvorak will be performing songs from his new CD, as well as more well known material, and favorites from his previous recordings. Time Ain’t Got Nothin’ on Me is Dvorak’s 17th CD release.
The Chicago Tribune calls him “masterful,” while Sing Out! Magazine says, “Dvorak shines.” His song writing has been called “profound” and “wondrous,” and he has “an encyclopedic knowledge of traditional music.” His show is “funny, passionate, intimate and unforgettable.”
