Hickory Ridge Concert Series: The Fraileys
- Location: ISM Dickson Mounds Museum, Lewistown
- Date: Saturday, May 21, 2011, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Indiana Family band The Frailey’s will perform at the Hickory Ridge Concert Series Saturday, May the 21st, at 7:30 pm. The Frailey’s: Drew and Joy Frailey and their daughter Adrienne are known for their beautifully blended harmonies, solo vocals and versatility. They present a memorable acoustic mix of old folk, country and soft rock that makes a centuries-old ballad as immediate and personal as a new cover tune. Drew and Joy have been singing together since college, longer than their thirty years of marriage. Adrienne joined them in 2006. Drew (vocals, guitar, bass, and mandolin) has forty years’ experience in music. Joy is a fourth-generation songwriter and musician (Cherokee-Irish- Scots) whose family played live over Tennessee radio stations in the 1930s and 1940s. Adrienne is gaining quite a reputation as a singer songwriter. She was the Open Mic Artist of the Month at folkalley.com. Her vocals are soulful and captivating; her lyrics and music are packed with meaning and emotion.
