Artifact Identification Day

On Sunday, March 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the ISM-Dickson Mounds Museum will host its annual Artifact (and other natural wonders) Identification Day. For more than two decades, the Museum has assembled a group of archaeologists, geologists, and other Museum scientists to identify objects of all sorts. It is an opportunity for the public to discover the story behind artifacts they've collected from cultivated fields throughout the state or that peculiar item that made its way home after an outing. Extraordinary objects often appear so plan to spend the day with us.
