- Location: ISM Dickson Mounds Museum, Lewistown
- Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Cowboy Poet Andy Wiesenhofer and fiddle and mandolin player extraordinaire Tim Runyan will take the Hickory Ridge Concert series back to the days of the old west when they perform Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Dickson Mounds Museum. It will be a delightful evening filled with great playing from Tim and a collection of western songs and stories guaranteed to put you in stitches. Andy first made his way to Hickory Ridge several year’s ago as the guest of the now defunct Bunkhouse Buckaroos. He soon returned with Tim Runyan and was a great hit with the audience. Tim Runyan is a world class musician who has performed around the Midwest with some of the best including Bob Applegate, The Wolftones and was the mandolin and fiddle player on WIUM radio’s syndicated performance show Rural Route Three. Together they make the Old West come alive again. A great night for audiences of any age, especially those that remember the days of the singing cowboy! The Dickson Mounds Branch of the Illinois State Museum is located between Lewistown and Havana off routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Tours and special programs are available for groups with reservations.
