Award winning singer-songwriter guitarist Amy Lowe will appear at the Hickory Ridge Concert Series at the Dickson Mounds Museum Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Known for her crystalline voice, honesty and clever original songs, Amy’s contemporary style music will remind many adults of songs by artists such as Eva Cassady, Amy Rigby, The Indigo Girls, and Dar Williams. Since the 1980’s Lowe has captivated audiences from concert halls to schools around the world. She’s a prolific songwriter and the recipient of numerous Parents Choice Awards and EdPress Distinguished Achievement Awards. Her songs have been heard on radio and television and her many recordings have been recommended by Booklist, Library Journal, and School Library Journal. As a touring performer, workshop facilitator and Teaching Artist, Lowe has appeared in over 1,000 elementary schools, high schools, community centers and universities throughout the country. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater/Music and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts. During the evening she will be performing songs from her latest CD release titled “Everything You Touch”.
