March 9 & 10

Barbara Ellis-Racic, Glenview, Jewelry
Barbara hand knits her crystal and bead jewelry using a three pronged spool. She constructs each piece using colorful swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and beads into geometric patterns. Barbara’s jewelry is always on trend.

David Shwatal, Chicago, Photography
David Shwatal’s photographs capture the many corners of the world from his travel. After college, he became a sound tech on a cruise ship.  Six continents, ninety-two countries, one hundred islands, and countless cities and towns later, his love of photography has only deepened.

Ruth L. Stegmeyer, Chicago, Fiber and Quilts
Ruth made clothes for her dolls as a child and eventually, for herself and others.  Always sewing, stitching knitting, crocheting, she developed a style from a lifetime of experience working with fabric.  In the 60s taught herself quilting and has since taken many classes to master the technique.

Sandra K. Wilcoxon ,Oak Park, Jewelry  (image)
Sandra’s jewelry reflects a variety of influences- inspired by travels, literature, nature, and the beads themselves. After a decade of jewelry making, she has moved beyond her traditional knotted pearls and strands of gemstones. She now weaves statement pieces from natural materials into organic collars, exploding with rich spikes of color.
