Potamilus purpuratus (Bleufer)
The interior of the bleufer mussel shell has purple or pink nacre that is very iridescent. The two pseuodocardinal teeth are small, rough, and divergent. The lateral teeth are long, thin, and curved. The beak cavity is shallow.
