Potamilus alatus (Pink Heelsplitter)
The interior of the pink heelsplitter mussel shell has pink or purple nacre that is iridescent. The pseudocardinal teeth are small, rough, and divergent. The lateral teeth are long, thin, and slightly curved. The beak cavity is shallow.
