Lampsilis higginsii (Higgins Eye)
The interior of the Higgins eye mussel shell has white nacre, sometimes, as in this specimen, tinged with pink or cream in the cavity and iridescent posteriorly. The pseudocardinal teeth (upper right) are triangular and thick. The lateral teeth are long and fairly heavy.
