Lampsilis fasciola (Wavy-rayed Lampmussel)
The wavy-rayed lampmussel is named for the green wavy rays on its smooth, yellowish green surface. The shell is thick and rounded. This species lives in gravel riffles in medium-sized streams. In Illinois it occurs only in a small area in the east central part of the state on the Indiana border.
