Eupatorium perfoliatum (Common Boneset)
This specimen of Common Boneset clearly shows the united opposite leaves with serrated edges. Leaves can grow to eight inches long. Plants are three to four feet tall. Stems branch at the top to form rounded clusters of 9 to 23 white tubular disk flowers. Common Boneset grows in open wet prairies, marshes, and low areas.
