Baptisia alba (White Wild Indigo)
This specimen of White Wild Indigo shows one flower stalk in full bloom and others that are beginning to form at the tip of branched stems.
White Wild Indigo is found across the tallgrass prairie in dry to moist areas. It can grow to six feet. Leaves are made up of three leaflets. Stems are shrubby and brownish. The plant flowers from late spring to midsummer.
