astragalus canadensis (Canadian Milk Vetch)
This specimen of Canadian Milk Vetch clearly shows the leaf arrangement of oblong leaflets on a pinnately compound leaf.
The plant grows in moist prarie areas, at the edge of woodlands, and along streams. It blooms in summer.
