Aster prealtus (Willow Aster)
This specimen of Willow Aster shows the entire plant from flower clusters to root system. The alternate leaves are pointed and narrow, measuring up to 5 inches long and 3/4" wide. Each lavender flower head is about an inch wide with 20-40 ray flowers around a yellow disk. The plant grows in wet areas.
