Asclepias viridiflora (Green Milkweed)
This specimen of Green Milkweed shows two long, narrow seed pods on a stem with opposite leaves.
Green Milkweed grows widely scattered in dry or sandy prairies. Its rounded greenish flower clusters appear in late spring through midsummer.
