Anne Michalov (1904 - 1992)

Anne Michalov is a native of Illinois. she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago in the 1920s. During the Depression, she produced prints, paintings and murals for the WPA. In the early 1940s, she moved to Spokane with her husband. There she taught at the WPA Art Center. She exhibited her work in many regional and naitonal exhibitions and museums and was an illustrator in many publications.
Michalov has been called a modern naive landscape artist.
