Kangaroo Mario Ubaldi (1912 - 1993 )

Mario Ubaldi was born in Monarch, Wyoming. He studied art in Rome. In the late 1930s, he worked for the Illinois WPA sculpture program. Later he taught at the Art Institute and exhibited nationally.
The artist made this piece by sculpting it in clay, firing it in a kiln, glazing it, and refiring it.
