Cyzicus sp. is a conchostracan (also known as clam shrimp). It is a small crustacean related to the water fleas.

Modern clam shrimp live in small, temporary, alkaline pools, such as floodplain pools, roadside ditches, and puddles.

This nodule has seven specimens of Cyzicus exposed on it.
