The body of the "woman" is made of reindeer bone. The colored dress is decorated with seed-bead embroidery and a braid of fur wrapped with bands of red and black cloth. The doll was used as a toy, but also had ritual importance. On the front of the dress are traces of blood indicating that it was "fed" with the blood from a sacrificial reindeer.
