Guy Lukeman (1883-1945) made about 100 decoys in his lifetime for his own use. He appropriated and adapted patterns by the Herter Company of Watseka, Minnesota, and often used Herter paints. He also mixed his own colors and painted his decoys in a simple, direct style.
